Bridgezone staff often get the chance to work in impressive locations - royal parks, famous monuments, nature reserves - but even the most unassuming worksites can turn out to be stunning places to visit.
One such worksite that Bridgezone has been offered is that of Shillamill Viaduct near Tavistock, Devon. A rope-access team will be sent to inspect this12-span railway viaduct, disused since 1968. The bridge itself is an impressive structure; made up of 12 masonry arches covering 50 feet apiece, curving gently at its southern end, it towers more than 100 feet above the countryside, dominating the landscape.
Even so, the impressive sight of this structure can't compare to the view our rope access team will enjoy, being granted a breathtaking perspective of the English countryside below as they inspect this huge, isolated structure. Many thanks to Devon County Council for granting us the privilege of once again working in so beautiful an environment.
